Arsenal make move for Dembele

Arsenal are serious about their interest in Ousmane Dembele.

It looks as though the French winger will leave Barcelona after an 18-month spell that has been plagued with injuries and inconsistency.

Last week he also missed training without informing club officials and sat out of Sunday’s loss to Real Betis due to illness.

Mundo Deportivo claim Arsenal head of recruitment Sven Mislintat has put forward Dembele’s name as a target for the club.

Mislintat played a big role in signing Dembele for Dortmund for Rennes. Gunners manager Unai Emery has agreed with Mislintat on the 21-year-old and wants a deal done in January.

Signing Dembele could be made much easier as well, with the Liverpool Echo reporting yesterday that the Reds were not interested in signing any players in the upcoming transfer window.

L’Equipehave claimed a number of Barcelona directors believe it is time to part with Dembele.
