Barça played their final game of 2016 in the Copa del Rey, beating Hércules 7-0 in the Round 32 tie to end a wonderful and highly successful year in 2016.

There were a lot of ups and downs for the club and it’s players in 2016, lots of nice paths that included a 39-game unbeaten run, but also lots of rough patches that included a 5-game winless streak in La Liga and an exit from the CL but once can say the good times outweighs the bad one as FC Barcelona ended 2016 with three official trophies.

Barça didn’t have their best year in 2016, but were still able to defend their La Liga title, winning their 24th crown back in may with Luis Suárez finishing as top scorer with 40 goals. The Cataláns also defender their Copa del Rey title, winning their 27th in May after a hard-fought 2-0 final win over Sevilla. Barça added the Spanish Super Cup to make it three trophies won, here’s the full Barça records for 2016.

A total of 16 players found the net for Barça in 2016 with 4 players scoring more than 10 goals (Arda Turan, Messi, Suárez, Neymar). Lionel Messi scored the most goals with 51 strikes with Luis Suárez a close second on 48, Neymar comes next with 21.
For the assists stats, Lionel Messi topped once again, forking out 25 assists in all competitions, Suárez comes second again with 21 to his name, same with Neymar while Arda Turan comes fourth with 10. A total of 20 players got at least an assist.
