Nigeria’s Flamingoes Are Ready For U-17 World Cup – Nkiyu

Flamingoes coach, Bala Nkiyu has reiterated that the team would make an appreciable impact at the forthcoming 2016 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup slated for Jordan.

Nigeria has featured in all the FIFA U-17 editions since its inception in 2008 and will be dreaming of winning the trophy for the first time after reaching the quarter final stages in the 2014 edition that was hosted by Costa Rica.

The team will kick-start their tournament on October 1st against Brazil before playing England and Korea Democratic Republic respectively.

“There has been remarkable improvement in my players since they resumed camp in July and now.

“I am happy to say they have been adhering to instructions during training sessions, they are much fitter now and are playing more cohesively and will certainly be ready to face the best in the world.

“The mistakes that we noted when we started the camp have been largely corrected,” said Nkiyu to thenff.com.
