Samper and Munir extend contracts until 2019 |
FC Barcelona B midfielder Sergi Samper has finally signed his contract extension with Barça in a deal that will see him continue at the club until the summer of 2019.
Barça announced on their official website that Samper have signed his contract renewal for 3 years with an option of a fourth. He will be promoted to the first team after spending 15 years in all junior categories of the club where he joined when he was just 6 years old.
He will officially put one to paper later today and will be followed by photo sessions at the club. It is now unclear whether coach Luis Enrique will allow him continue at the first team or let him leave on loan.
MUNIR EXTENDS CONTRACT UNTIL 2019
Another big news of the day is that 20-year old striker Munir El Haddadi has also signed a contract extension of the same length as Sergi Samper.
The Spanish striker will sign his contract that will see him be a player of FC Barcelona for the next three seasons and a release clause of €60 million have been placed on him.
Munir made his first team debut in 2014 and was promoted to the Barcelona first team last summer and played a part in the clubs run to win four trophies in the 2015/2016 where he finished as one of the top scorers for FC Barcelona in the Copa del Rey with 5 goals along with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
Munir will officially sign his contract on Tuesday (today) at 12:30pm CET, one hour before Sergi Samper puts pen to paper. The star will then undergo a photo session.
Both Munir and Sergi Samper will take part in FC Barcelona’s preseason preparations for the 2016/2017 which starts today.
