Arsenal set to complete Nwakali deal

Flying Eagles captain Kelechi Nwakali is expected to travel to England to put pen to paper so as to complete his move to Arsenal, reports have confirmed.
The midfielder turned 18 on June 5, and is now eligible to sign professional terms with the Gunners after agreeing a deal in principle to join them shortly after he starred for the Nigeria U17’s at the last FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile.
Nwakali had told fcnaija.com in February he would travel to England to sign with the English giants once he turned 18.
“I will travel to England to sign my contract with Arsenal once I turn 18,” he said last February.
And having now turned 18, Nwakali will be expected to finally seal the deal to Arsenal from Diamond Academy in Owerri.
Nwakali is however in Calabar at the moment with the Nigeria U20 side as they prepare for their U20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Burundi.
The team won the first in Bujumbura, the Burundian capital almost three weeks ago, and will progress to the final qualifying round if they go past the Burundians one more time.
The game will be played on June 11 at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar.
