Argentina, Chile target Copa America Glory

By Augustine Akhilomen

Lionel Messi will be hoping to banish the memory of losing the 2014
FIFA World Cup final and the 2015 Copa America final as Argentina
square up against Chile at the MotLife Stadium in the early hours of
Monday morning for the 2016 Copa America Centenario final.
Both teams were in the same group but Argentina had a better of Chile with a 2-1 victory.
In 2015, Chile defeated Argentina via penalty shoot-out 4-1.
Argentina has not won a major senior title since 1993, and are desperate to take revenge on their neighbours.
Out of 87 matches between them, Argentina has won 58, Chile 6, and
drew 23. In the recent meeting, Argentina and Chile have won one match
each.
Messi who has been behind most of the play in the heart of their
midfield knows that Monday’s final afford him the opportunity to write
his name in history book.
On the other hand, defending champions, Chile have had a brilliant
tournament with some beautiful play from Alexis Sanchez, who has
spearheaded the team’s attack very well.‎
