Paris Saint Germain’s striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been awarded the Ligue 1 player of the year for the third time in four seasons after he beat competitors Hatem Ben Arfa, Lassana Diarra and teammate Angel Di Maria for the prestigious prize.Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been a key man for PSG since his arrival to the French capital and has played a huge role in his team’s journey to winning the League title thus season. He has scored a whooping 35 goals for PSG the League this term whilst setting up 13 others with two games left to play. Zlatan won the award in his first two seasons in France but was dethroned by Lyon’s Alexander Lacazette for last season’s prize, however, the king returned to his throne by winning it for the 3rd time in four seasons, an award which was presented to him by Edgar Davis.In other awards, Nigerian goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama was beaten to the best goalkeeper prize by Steve Mandanda who has been in scintillating form throughout the season.
