Barcelona legend Stoichkov blasts Louis Van Gaal

Former Barcelona player and CL winner Hristo Stoichkov has taken time to attack Manchester United coach Louis Van Gaal over his treatment of goalkeeper Victor Valdes who was recently released by Standard Liege after a failed loan spell and the Man United boss has been labelled a “marble head” by his former employee.Former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes left the club where he won 3 champions league title in 2014 after a season blighted by a chronic injury, he was brought to Man United during the winter transfer window of 2015 but didn’t get the favour he expected from his new environment. Victor Valdes was banished from the first team by Louis Van Gaal after the legendary goalkeeper refused to play for the reserve team, he was later allowed to move to Belgium to play for Standard Liege and has had his contract terminated last week.Valdes is now set to return to Manchester United but almost certainly won’t feature again and Hristo Stoichkov isn’t happy with the situation, bashing Louis Van Gaal in his latest interview with Spanish newspaper Sport.“What he did was a horrible thing,” Stoichkov told Sport in reference to Van Gaal’s treatment of Victor Valdes. “He is an ingrate because Victor [Valdes] saved him many times. He is someone who has no friends.“Even in his own country they did not want him despite him being third in the World Cup. He is a marble head whom nobody wants.”No real Culer will like the treatment given to Victor Valdes at Man United as he was a legend in Barcelona and Stoichkov is one, Valdes is one of the most successful goalkeepers in football having won 3 Champions League titles, he also helped Standard Liege to the Belgian Cup final in his short spell at the Club.
