Ikorodu United Vs MFM FC

Date: Sunday 6, March, 2016
Venue: Onikan Stadium

Lagos will this weekend be the centre of attraction in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) as the first local derby will be played between two newcomers, Ikorodu United and Mountain of Fire Miracles and Ministries (MFM FC).

This is undoubtedly the star match of the NPFL week 5 fixtures as the first local derby this term will be played at the Onikan Stadium in Lagos between these two familiar foes.

This tie will be the first meeting between the two sides in the top flight as they are both newcomers campaigning in the premier League, and Lagos fans will have the opportunity to ascertain the strengths and weaknesses of these two teams.

Coming from a 0-1 loss at reigning champions, Enyimba in their last tie, Ikorodu United would want to pick the maximum three points, but it will definitely be difficult for them against their neighbours, and this tie may end in a stalemate.
