Adeleye joins El Kanemi Warriors

El-Kanemi Warriors Football Club have completed the signing of former DSS striker Samson Adeleye, Goal.com reports.

It was reported by some sections of the media last month that Adeleye could well be on his way to three clubs in the Nigeria Professional Football League, with Shooting Stars being one of the sides eager to sign the sharp shooter.

Now, however, Goal can confirm that Warriors have won the race for his signature, and have signed him on a one year deal.

The move was confirmed by a top official of the club to Goal on Wednesday.

“We are happy to have completed the deal for the services of Samson Adeleye,” the official told Goal.

“He is a player that we have targeted for a very long time. We thank God that we got our man,” he explained.

Adeleye who was part of Niger Tornadoes’ team that earned promotion to the top flight at the end of last season expressed joy at joining Elkanemi Warriors.

“I want to thank God for the chance to prove myself in the league of big boys and El-Kanemi Warriors has provided the platform for me.”

“My appreciation goes to the management, technical crew and my well wishers who called to congratulate me on my new adventure. It is the dream of every striker to score goals and that’s my target for Elkanemi Warriors,” he added.

Adeleye will don the number 30 jersey at his new club.
