Here’s a review of the UEFA Champions League games that took place on Wednesday night with focus on Nigerian players.

Joining Maccabi Tel Aviv and CSKA Moscow in the next round are FC Basel and Glasgow Celtic.
Switzerland youth international Manuel Akanji and Super Eagles defender Efe Ambrose both made the 18 – man squads for their respective teams but did not feature.
