According to allnigeriasoccer.com report, Nigeria international Taye Taiwo’s search for a new club after severing ties with Turkish Super Lig side Bursaspor may come to an end in the coming days.
The free- kick expert landed in the Finnish capital on Friday to begin contract talks with six times in a row Veikkausliiga champions, HJKHelsinki.
Taye Taiwo’s intermediary has opened a line of communication with HJK Chairman, Olli-Pekka Lyytikäinen, over the possibility of the left – back signing a deal with the Sonera Stadium outfit.[post_ad]
Talks are on hold now because HJK are currently involved in a high profile friendly against Liverpool, but will continue after the match.
Taye Taiwo wore the jersey of Marseille with pride for six years, helping the French side win the title in 2010 before he was snapped up by Italian powerhouse AC Milan the following year.
The Bronze Ball winner at the 2005 Fifa Under 20s has also defended the colours of Dynamo Kiev and Queens Park Rangers.
