Arsenal loanee shining at Hull City

Chuba Akpom was on target for Hull City as they defeated Accrington Stanley 4-3 on penalties to progress into the second round of the Capital One Cup.
After 90 minutes of a goalless affair Akpom, who was introduced in the 60th minute for Nikica Jelavic, broke the deadlock on 92 minutes for his second Hull goal in as many games after he scored in their Championship opener over the weekend.
Matty Crooks made it 1-1 on 105 minutes but Greg Leur scored three minutes later to put Hull in front again.[post_ad]
Then in the 115th minute of the encounter, Terry Gornell drew Accrington Stanley level again to send the game to penalty shootout which Hull eventually won. Akpom also scored in the shootout.
