We are winners! But where next for the Flying Eagles?

Nigeria’s under 20 team-the Flying Eagles dominated the continent once again by lifting the trophy of the just-concluded CAF Under 20 championship after beating Senegal 1-0. However, questions are still trapped in the lips of many Nigerians on the future of these young Nigerian superstars.
It seems to be a seasonal routine for Nigerian Football Federation to purposelessly ignore the talents stored in variety in their youngsters has echoing names such as Christiantus, Ajiboye, Haruna and Co. Who led the flying eagles to a beautiful win in the 2007 fifa under 17 world cup.
Now, with our young Eagles being triumphant at this stage, one would expect the Nigerian board to provide incentives for the players in order to keep them going. One thing that made the team magnificent is their Barcelona-esque style of play of keeping possession.
Also, the boys who played like men throughout the tournament possessed this zeal that we rearly see in our present Super Eagles’ squad.
If the NFF can make the most out of these stars, Nigerian football will surely propel to a whole new level.
The success of our football lies in the hands of the youth, not the not-ready ones in the Super Eagles. Not the Mikel who Isn’t ready to give his all. All we need is a deep close-plan scan of the problem. Then we’ll see that the antidote lies in the hands of the youth.
