Nigeria U-23 team will tomorrow Thursday January 22, jet out of the country for Tunisia where they will engage in two international friendly games.
Samson Siasia revealed he will divide his team into two to accommodate both tournaments as avenue to shore up his team’s preparation for the coming All Africa Games qualifiers.
“The team will be divided into two, one will feature in the Super Six while the other travels to Tunisia for a two-game tournament”, Timi Ebikagboro explained.
“The two tournaments are important and the team is ready for them”, he added.
He revealed the squad that will take part in the tournament in Tunisia will fly out tomorrow (Thursday). “Right now coach Siasia has not named the team that will go to Tunisia or the one that will participate in the Super Six,” he stressed.
The Dream Team VI as the U-23 squad is known, will confront their U-20 national team counterparts as well as Enyimba International, Kano Pillars, Warri Wolves and Dolphins in the five-match Super Six tournament slated for January 24-1 February, 2015.
According to organizers, League Management Company, LMC, the Super Six, an expanded version of the annual Super Four tournament is aimed at preparing the teams representing Nigeria in various tournaments this year.
