Keshi ruined Sunday Mbas career – Fanny Amun

As Nigerian Football fans grapple with the reality of AFCON 2015 without the Super Eagles, former national team handler, Fanny Amun has blamed Coach Stephen Keshi for ”killing” the career of Sunday Mba, the teams hero at the last edition of the tournament in South Africa.

In an exclusive television interview with Hotsports in Lagos, Amun said: ”If you are given an assignment, confidence is repose on you, whether is technical, administrative, financial or what have you. On Mba’s issue who has killed Mba’s career ? The coach killed Mba’s career . I’ll say it from anywhere.”

“If you are given any responsibility, you must be neutral, you must be fair , you must be sincere, you must be genuine, you must look at the course of somebody.”

Mba, who currently plays for French second division side Bastia was sidelined from the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and the qualifying series of the 2015 Nations Cup.

On the uncertainty surrounding Keshi’s continued stay with the Super Eagles, the former Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation, believed his presence is becoming counter-productive.
”If Keshi has left after the Nations Cup victory, everybody will be looking for Keshi now. People now say Keshi is delaying the progress of the team, because he has given room for it.

” He is matured enough to make a decision. Its not for me and you to decide what Keshi should do. I’ ve told the president of the federation, start to groom the home based team and concentrate on their progress. If Keshi wants to stay, let him stick there like araldite gum,” Amun concluded.
