Onazi May Be Joining Liverpool Anytime Soon

Lazio midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi says he has “always wanted to play in England” and will not turn down a chance to join Liverpool.

The Nigerian International had always been a great admirer of the 18-time English League Champions.

Onazi has now stressed that he will not turn down Liverpool, if they come asking for him in the future.

“Of course (I will say yes) if Liverpool comes for me. They are a great club and I have always wanted to play in England,” Onazi exclusively told supersport.com.

Onazi has made just four starts for SS Lazio in Serie A this term, suggestions are made that he might be on his way out of the Stadio Olimpico as early as January.

The midfielder is however not looking too far ahead and says any talk about him leaving Lazio may be wide off the mark as “it’s a very complicated issue”.

“The (2014/15) is still on now and the transfer window is yet to be opened.

“There will be a lot of offers from everywhere but it depends. It’s a very complicated issue,” he said.

Onazi has made just eight league appearances for SS Lazio (amounting to 406 minutes of action) this season.
