WORLD CLASS! Lionel Messi beats Ronaldo to Raul's goal record

FC Barcelona star man Lionel Messi has equalled Raul’s Champions League all-time goal record of 71 goals as the forward bagged a brace in Barca’s 2-0 win over Ajax at the Amsterdam Arena on Wednesday night.

The Argentine headed home his first of the night on the 36th minute from a Bartra cross, equalling rival Cristiano Ronaldo (who failed to score against Liverpool a day before) who has 70 goals.
However, La Pulga was not done yet as he drilled a shot past Ajax goalkeeper, Jasper Cillessen to become Champions League all-time top score, levelled with Real Madrid legend Raul on 71 goals.
The race still continues as both Messi and Ronaldo will surely add to their goal tally as the competition progresses but the main fact is that Rauls record is standing not on one leg, but with just a finger.
Messi has 71 goals in 90 games, Ronaldo has 70 in 106 games while Raul had 71 in 142 matches.
Messi being just 27 looks more likely to own the record at last as Cristiano is entering into his thirties and Raul Gonzalez not playing in Europe anymore.
