Koke prefers Messi to CR7, says "Ronaldo is an athlete, Messi is a god"

Atlético Madrid midfielder Koke spoke in an interview with Onda Cero, and gave his opinion on the competition between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, whilst also explaining his decision to stay in Atlético.
Koke stressed that both Messi and Ronaldo are “great players”, and admitted that comparing them is difficult.
“It’s complicated, the two are great footballers. Cristiano is an athlete, Messi is God. You see him on the pitch and it’s spectacular. It’s difficult to decide, I’d always want Messi in my team, as well as Cristiano, but I think I’d stick with Messi”, the midfielder stated.
Once more, Koke also explained why he rejected offers from big clubs during the summer in favor of staying in Atlético.
“I have to be grateful for the interest from Barcelona and other teams, but I’m happy because I wanted to be here. I’ve been here all my life and this wasn’t the time to leave: we’re winning everything, the club is growing, we’re growing as players… Why would I leave at Atlético Madrid’s best moment?”
