“Perfect for Arsenal” – Three-time Premier League winner urges Arteta to go for Osimhen

Three-time Premier League winner, Joe Cole, has urged Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to sign Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 26-year-old was linked with the Gunners last summer, but his €130m release clause was a stumbling block in making a deal materialize. Instead, he joined Galatasaray on loan.

Osimhen’s loan spell has been a huge success for him and Okan Buruk’s side. He’s scored 29 goals and provided five assists in 33 games for the Turkish side.

Osimhen has been linked with a host of clubs, but Cole, who won three Premier League titles with Chelsea, believes the Nigerian striker will fit right in at the Emirates Stadium with Mikel Arteta’s tactical setup.

“Osimhen, I know he’s had this little strange one where he’s gone to Turkey, and he’s banging in goals, but he looks perfect for Arsenal for me.

“Isak, yeah, but why would he go to Arsenal now? If Newcastle could spend more, I can’t see Isak being an option. Osimhen is the one for me for Arsenal,” the former LOSC Lille midfielder said on the Dressing Room Podcast via Standard UK.

Osimhen is the leading scorer of the Turkish Super Lig with 21 goals, and it is widely expected he’ll move to the English Premier League when the transfer window opens.
