According to football statistics platform WhoScored, Aina has won possession in the defensive third 105 times this season—at least 13 more than any other player across Europe’s elite leagues. Aina was instrumental in Nottingham Forest’s crucial 1-0 victory over Manchester City on Saturday, a result that kept them firmly in the race for European qualification.
