Victor Osimhen: What Manchester United must do to sign Super Eagles star

Super Eagles attacker, Victor Osimhen, has once again piqued the interest of English Premier League giants, Manchester United, Soccernet.ng reports.

Per reports, the Red Devils remain determined to secure the signing of the Nigerian striker to bolster their attacking options following a dismal season campaign thus far.

Napoli-based journalist, Vincenzo Credendino, speaking to Soccernet.ng, has revealed that Napoli will only accept a straight cash offer of €70 million for the forward to let go of Osimhen, who is considered one of their most valued assets.

Osimhen is currently firing on all cylinders in Turkey, where his brace—the 5th brace for Galatasaray—secured the victory for Okan Buruk’s men against Rizespor yesterday.

With the two goals scored yesterday, Osimhen has now scored his 19th goal for Gala in 24 appearances this season, and his 14th Super Lig goal in 18 appearances.

With this, United look ready to bolster their attack with his signature, but the club’s ability to finalise a move for Osimhen could hinge on the future of Rasmus Højlund.

Leeds United are reportedly prepared to make an offer for the Danish striker if they secure promotion to the Premier League. Juventus and West Ham are also monitoring the 22-year-old, who could be available for around £40 million this summer.

Should the former Atalanta forward depart, the Manchester-based club would have more room to accommodate Osimhen as their primary striker.

According to Transfer News Live, both Manchester United and PSG remain in the race for Osimhen and are prepared to meet his release clause to secure his services.

With competition from the French giants, United will need to act decisively to land the Nigerian forward, who has long been on their radar since Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit to Al Nassr.
