Morata has been at AC Milan since last summer, and he has had a decent start to life there, contributing six goals and two assists in 25 appearances. However, he has not delivered for them consistently.

Since Sergio Conceicao took charge of the Rossoneri at the turn of the year, there have been speculations that the team could experience some changes.

Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze has been talked about a lot in recent weeks, but nothing concrete has emerged from those talks. However, Morata will now be the first big player to leave this winter.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Spanaird will join Galatasaray in an six-month loan with the option of a six-month extension.

Galatasaray’s decision to sign Morata has raised a few eyebrows. The club currently has three senior strikers including Victor Osimhen, Dries Mertens, Michy Batshuayi, and Mauro Icardi.

But Icardi is out of the season due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury. Morata’s arrival means that Galatasaray’s will have four strikers.

But, some big teams are usually comfortable with just one striker, but most cap it at two. This means that one of the strikers could leave this January.

Osimhen could be the one to leave, as there have been speculations linking him with a transfer to the Premier League, with Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea in the mix.

Although, there have been reports that the Super Eagles star will not leave Galatasaray this January, a lot could still change with almost 72 hours left until the close of the market.

Nonetheless, even if Osimhen does not leave Galatasaray this month, an exit in the summer is all but sure.
