Chippa United star Stanley Nwabali has congratulated Super Eagles teammate Sadiq Umar following his transfer to Valencia, Soccernet.ng reports.
Nigerian striker Sadiq opened a new chapter in his career after sealing a six-month loan transfer from Real Sociedad to fellow La Liga side Valencia.
The 27-year-old striker endured a tough start to life at Real Sociedad after his record €20 million transfer from Almeria in 2022.
Sadiq’s two-and-half years with the Txuri-urdin was characterized with injuries. And that cost him his form, momentum, and consequentially game time.
Due to his struggles, he had to move somewhere else to get more time on the pitch and regain his form. The Super Eagles star completed his transfer to Valencia on Saturday. And following that move, compatriot Nwabali took to social media to congratulate him.
The Chippa United showstopper wrote, ” May Allah make it easy for you brother.”
Meanwhile, Super Eagles first-choice goalkeeper Nwabali just lost his mother, barely seven weeks after he lost his father. The Chippa United star is in mourning, but he will be looking to bounce back stronger this year and continue his impress performances for club and country.
