Watch: Victor Osimhen hits brace in Galatasaray’s demolition of Kayserispor

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen scored a brace for Galatasaray in their 5-1 demolition of Kayserispor at the Kadir Has Stadium on Sunday, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen led the line for Galatasaray when they traveled to Kayserispor. The reigning Super Lig champions had failed to win any of the previous three meeting against Kayserispor, but with Osimhen, they had a good chance of breaking that run.

Galatasaray had a great start to the game, as they won a penalty after just three minutes. Victor Osimhen took charge of the situation and just struck the ball past the goalkeeper.

However, Galatasaray’s lead did not last, as Stephane Bahoken scored for Kayserispor in the 14th minute. Nonetheless, Galatasaray got their second of the game in the 29th minute, courtesy of Baris Alper Yilmaz. Both teams went into the break, with Galatasaray leading 2-1.

Galatasaray started the second half on a good note, and it took them just six minutes into the second half before they got the lead again.

20 minutes later, Galatasaray struck again, and it was Osimhen. The Nigerian superstar collected a pass from Akgun on the edge of the box and sent a neat lob past the goalkeeper and into the net to make it 4-1.

Baris Alper Yilmaz wrapped up the scoring in the 87th minute, as it ended 5-1 after 90 minutes.

Osimhen’s brace takes his Super Lig goals tally to nine. Galatasaray remain at the summit of the league with 44 points after 16 games. They will end the year as Super Lig leaders.
