Emeka Eze, Fortune Bassey, and Ahmad Ghali produced several eye-catching performances for their clubs across Europe on Sunday, Soccernet.ng reports.
Eze was the hero for Pendikspor as he scored twice and assisted the other in their 3-0 home win over Sakaryaspor in the Turkish Lig 1.
The 28-year-old attacker opened the scoring for Pendikspor in the 21st minute, as he concerts expertly from the penalty spot.
He turned provider in the second minute of first-half stoppage time, when he assisted Leandro Kappel to double the hosts advantage.
The Lagos-born forward completed the rout with a first-time finish shortly after.
Eze now has seven league goals for Pendikspor with only Fatih Karagümrük’s Wesley (12 goals) and Erokspor’s Hamza Čataković (8) netting more in the division.
In the Czech Liga, Slovan Liberec secured a pleasant 3-0 triumph over Teplice, with Nigerian forward Ahmad Ghali to thank for much of the win.
Ghali contributed a goal and an assist to Slovan’s sixth league win and their third inside the Stadion u Nisy in Liberec.
After both teams tried each other for size in the opening exchanges, Ghali broke the deadlock in the 20th minute.
Slovan protected their lead until the 78th minute when Ghali again sent a low cross towards Michal Hlavatý, who finished with aplomb.
Denis Višinský’s penalty deep in stoppage time was the icing on the came for the home team.
In Slovakia’s 1 Liga, DAC 1904 and Trenčín played out an entertaining 3-3 draw with Fortune Bassey and Emmanuel Uchegbu doing their best to make it a Nigerian affair.
Uchegbu was among the goals as visiting Trenčín took a 3-1 lead but Bassey scored twice as DAC 1904 fought back to earn a share of the points.
