Report: Napoli open to swapping Victor Osimhen with struggling Manchester United star

Former Italian Serie A champions Napoli are huge admirers of out-of-favour Manchester Unuted forward Marcus Rashford and would be willing to swap him for Victor Osimhen, Soccernet.ng reports.

In recent weeks, Super Eagles star Osimhen has been heavily linked with Manchester United, following the appointment of Ruben Amorim as coach.

Recall that the 25-year-old was keen on a move to the Premier League last summer, but he did not get it, as no club was willing to meet his demands and Napoli valuation. He had to join Galatasaray after he was alienated from the team.

Meanwhile, the talks about a possible Manchester United transfer has increased in the past two weeks. Previously, Napoli wanted only cash for Osimhen’s services. But now, that could change.

According to Transfer News Live, the Partenopeans are huge admirers of Rashford who looks willing to exit Manchester United. Hence, they want to push for a swap deal involving Osimhen and Rashford.

Data from Transfermarkt shows that Osimhen is worth €75 million, while Rashford has a valuation of €55 million. As such, Napoli could even demand that Manchester United add money for the deal to happen.

Osimhen is currently enjoying a fine season with Galatasaray, producing 12 goals and five assists in 15 appearances. The winter transfer window will open on January 1, but it is unknown if Osimhen will make his move in January or finish the season with Galatasaray.
