Following an impressive performance at the 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, Nigerian sensation Sebastian Flourish has taken a bold step in her career by signing with Turkish giants Galatasaray Women, Soccernet.ng report.
Flourish, who last played for French side Stade de Reims, piqued the interests of scouts with her remarkable skills and game-changing moments at the World Cup.
Galatasaray Women announced her signing on social media, sharing a photo of the Super Falconets forward who proudly donned the club jersey.
Flourish will be joining her compatriot, Tosin Demehin, who also signed with the Turkish side earlier this summer. Together, they add to the growing Nigerian representation at Galatasaray, with Victor Osimhen also on loan with the men’s team this season.
Flourish’s recent performances have shown her potential to shine at the club. She scored a crucial goal to secure a 1-0 victory for Nigeria’s U-20 women’s team, the Falconets, against Korea Republic at the World Cup.
Her attacking prowess continued as she netted a goal in Nigeria’s 4-0 win over Venezuela, helping to propel the Falconets into the next round of the tournament.
With Galatasaray women currently sitting 6th in Turkey’s Women’s League, Flourish’s arrival brings new hope teaming up with Demehin to make an impactful contribution to Galatasaray’s quest for a higher league standing.
