“Osimhen is good, but the money is too much” – Former Götzepe coach tells Galatasaray to buy strikers from lower Turkish clubs

Victor Osimhen has scored eight goals and provided three assists in ten games for Galatasaray this season.

Former Götzepe head coach, Yilmaz Vural, has shared his thoughts on Galatasaray prospectively signing Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, warning the Turkish side to halt on the deal, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen joined Galatasaray on a season-long from Napoli in September, and has settled nicely into life in Turkey, scoring eight goals in his first ten games for Okan Buruk’s side.

With his loan move nearing the halfway mark, The Cimbom Aslan are plotting a permanent move for the Napoli loanee that could cost them up to €75 million (£63.2 million), which is his buyout clause.

Despite the speculation, Osimhen has chosen to stay mute about his future beyond his loan spell, maintaining he plans to succeed with Galatasaray this season.

Vural, speaking on the Telegol program via Haber Sari Kirmizi, aired his opinion, stating he feels the money involved to make such a deal successful is simply not worth it.

“Victor Osimhen is a magnificent footballer. He can pass people with his dribble, he has incredible control over aerial balls. He is a real centre forward and his technical and physical characteristics are very good.

However, 75 million Euros is really too much. Our big teams like Galatasaray should acquire names like Barış Alper Yılmaz and Kerem Aktürkoğlu from the lower leagues,” the former Sivasspor midfielder said as revealed by Brila.

Whether or not Galatasaray choose to submit a bid, there are a host of clubs that are willing to sign Osimhen for such huge fees when his loan spell with Galatasaray ends.
