Strasbourg coach Liam Rosenior has highlighted Super Eagles forward Moses Simon as a potential threat ahead of his side’s game against Nantes on Friday, Soccernet.ng reports.
Strasbourg welcome Nantes to Stade de la Meinau for their Ligue 1 clash on Sunday. Both clubs sit 9th and 10th respectively with ten points each. And it promises to be an interesting game.
The home side have been in decent form recently, picking six points from their last five games, while Nantes have picked just three from a possible 15. Strasbourg have dominated the fixture in recent years, as they have lost just once in their last five meetings.
However, coach Rosenior is quite conservative going into the fixture as he is aware of the threat that Nantes pose in attack. Ahead of the game on Sunday, the English tactician mentioned Nigerian forward Simon as a player he is wary of.
“Nantes are a good team with good players, especially Moses Simon who I know very well. The most important thing will be to cut their play off from deep with Chirivella who is a very good player. We will play to our strengths and it could be a great match,” Rosenior said.
Simon has produced two goals and three assists for the Yellow Canaries this season. In fact, he has been involved in half on their goals this season. He’ll be looking to deliver the goods again and help his side claim the much-needed win.
