“He is giving us a lot of joy”- Belgian star looking for more big moments with Ejuke at Sevilla

Belgian forward Dodi Lukebakio has expressed satisfaction with Chidera Ejuke’s performance since he joined the club in the summer, Soccernet.ng reports.

Ejuke joined Sevilla during the summer transfer window after the expiration of his contract at Russian club CSKA Moscow.

Before his move, the 26-year-old has made a name for himself with his ability on the ball. Ejuke had already built a reputation as a top dribbler. At his previous clubs, the Nigerian forward was always one of the best dribbler in the league.

Upon his transfer to Sevilla, Ejuke struggled to get playing time in his first few weeks. However, things have started to look up in recent weeks.

Ejuke scored his first Sevilla goal three weeks ago, and it was an important goal as it helped them defeat Valladolid. And from the looks, it seems the Super Eagles star have established himself as the first choice on Sevilla’s left.

Meanwhile, Belgian winger Lukebakio, who was Ejuke’s teammate at Hertha Berlin before joining Sevilla last season, has been impressed with what he has seen from the Nigerian. And he is hoping that they can strike a forward partnership that would help Sevilla.

“Ejuke is giving us a lot of joy and I’m happy for him, he’s very important for us and I hope he continues like this,” Lukebakio said, per Estadio Deportivo.

“We’ve already played together in Berlin and being able to do so now in a great club like this is different and special.

“We try to support each other, always wanting to give our best on the pitch. We’re going to work to score more goals and thus help the team to stay at the top of the table.”

Ejuke is one of the top five dribblers in La Liga at the moment. And he will be looking to help Sevilla climb up the League table as they currently sit 12th.
