Fulham want Nigerian star who adores Osimhen to join Iwobi and Bassey at Craven Cottage

Fulham are preparing a January transfer bid for Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare, who has impressed during his time at Belgian club Genk, Soccernet.ng understands.

The 23-year-old forward, who was previously linked with Trabzonspor in the summer, has caught the attention of Fulham manager Marco Silva after an outstanding start to the season.

Arokodare has scored six goals in 10 appearances for Genk this campaign, building on the 15 goals he netted last season.

According to Haber61, Fulham could make a winter move for Arokodare.

A towering presence at 1.98 meters, Arokodare would add a physical threat to Fulham’s attack, and if he signs, he would join fellow Nigerians Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi at the Premier League side.

Despite recent strong performances from Fulham’s current strikers, Raul Jimenez and Rodrigo Muniz, the club remains eager to strengthen their forward line with a powerful No. 9.

Even though they are Nigerian strikers with differing styles, Arokodare is a big admirer of Osimhen.

Arokodare has expressed admiration for the Galatasaray forward, stating, “He (Osimhen) is someone who knows what he wants and makes the best decision for himself. I have always admired him.”

Though he has yet to make his debut for the Super Eagles, Arokodare remains hopeful.

Reflecting on his own career trajectory, Arokodare said, “The Nigerian Football Federation has not contacted me yet, but I believe that if I continue to focus, the opportunity will come. My absence from the national team shows that my time has not yet come.”
