Victor Osimhen’s fan clash comes with ‘no consequences’, won’t affect Napoli exit amid strong Chelsea interest

Victor Osimhen’s recent clash with a fan is unlikely to derail his potential departure from Napoli, as the Nigerian striker remains a top target for Chelsea, Soccernet.ng reports.

Despite the incident, the 25-year-old continues to attract strong interest from the Premier League giants, who are eager to secure his services ahead of the upcoming season.

Contrary to some reports in the Italian media suggesting that the Super Eagles forward might face disciplinary action due to dissatisfaction from manager Antonio Conte, Soccernet.ng understands that these claims are unfounded. There are no repercussions for Osimhen’s actions, and his move from Naples appears to be progressing.

What Happened Between Osimhen and the Fan?

Osimhen was recently caught on video forcing his way through a crowd, visibly upset at being recorded. In a moment of frustration, he confronted the fan, with the video cutting off just as tensions escalated.

Following the incident, the Super Eagles attacker has faced increased media scrutiny, with some reports indicating that his relationship with Napoli fans is becoming strained.

This tension may suggest that the Nigerian star is distancing himself from the club, particularly as interest from other top European sides continues to grow.

No Consequence for Osimhen’s Actions

Reports circulating in Nigerian media, quoting the Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, suggested that Osimhen might face consequences for his actions following the incident.

However, Soccernet.ng spoke to Napoli-based journalist Vicenzo Credendino, who confirmed that these reports are inaccurate.

“The altercation with the fan has no consequences,” Credendino told Soccernet.ng. “At that moment, the fan was filming, and Victor [Osimhen] reacted badly. But after the clash, he rejoined his teammate Cyriel Ngonge at the party hall, and there were no repercussions.”

Will the Altercation Affect Osimhen’s Departure from Napoli?

Osimhen has been heavily linked with a move away from the Diego Maradona Stadium, with Chelsea, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, and Saudi Arabian clubs all reportedly interested in signing the Nigerian striker.

According to Credendino, the clash with the fan will not impact Osimhen’s potential transfer. However, the move is far from straightforward, as Napoli CEO Aurelio De Laurentiis remains firm in his demand for over €100 million for the star forward.

“This altercation will not affect his move,” Credendino explained. “But we shouldn’t assume this transfer is easy. De Laurentiis is asking for a substantial sum, and there aren’t many clubs willing to meet these demands. PSG is an option, as are Chelsea and Arsenal, but finding a club that can afford both the transfer fee and Osimhen’s salary is challenging.”

Chelsea continues to express their interest in the Super Eagles talisman, but the transfer saga remains a complex puzzle that has yet to be solved.
