In the Czech Liga, Solomon John came off the bench to round up the scoring for Mladá Boleslav in their 4 – 0 win over České Budějovice.

Denmark

Joy Omewa, 21, was among the goals for Fortuna Hjørring as they carved out a convincing 3-0 win away to Brøndby in the Danish Kvindeliga.

England

On loan from Sparta Prague, Mohamed Tijani had a debut to forget in English football as his Plymouth Argyle suffered a disappointing 4-0 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.

In what is also Wayne Rooney’s first competitive game in charge of Plymouth, the visitors were blown out of the waters at Hillsborough.

At Anfield, Kelechi Iheanacho played his first-ever game for Sevilla while Chidera Ejuke assisted the Spanish side’s only goal in their 4-1 friendly loss to Liverpool.

In London, Gift Orban’s 65th-minute introduction could not stop Lyon from falling to a 2-0 loss at the hands of Arsenal, handling the Gunners the Emirates Cup.

Moses Simon returned from the injury that kept him out of Nigeria’s World Cup qualifiers in June to help Nantes claim a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Finland

In the Ykkösliiga, Michael Ogungbaro finally opened his goal account for the season in his 18th attempt as Jaro tore visiting JäPS in a 5-0 triumph.

At the Tapiolan Urheilupuisto in Esbo, former Super Falcons invitee Roosa Ariyo was on target for the second consecutive game for KuPS as they battled to a 2-2 draw with their Honka in the Kansallinen Liiga.

Germany

In the U17 Bundesliga, defender Richard Ajayi impressed while 15-year-old Uzorchukwu Egwuatu opened the scoring for Bayern München U17 in their 9-1 humbling of Unterhaching U17.

Italy

Ebenezer Akinsanmiro debuted for Sampdoria in the club’s Coppa Italia triumph over Como inside the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris in Genova.

The teenage midfielder featured for 76 minutes as Andrea Pirlo’s men defeated Cesc Fabregas-tutored Como on penalties after the game ended 1-1 in regular time.

Moldova

In the Super Liga, Justice Ohajunwa put the icing on the cake with the last goal in Zimbru’s 4-1 win over Milsami.

Portugal

Abraham Marcus smashed home the equaliser for Porto II in their surprise 1 – 1 Segunda Liga draw with Alverca at the Estádio Luís Filipe Menezes.

Sweden

In the Superettan, John Junior was among the goal scorers for Sandviken as they fought out a 2-2 in their Game Week 18 clash with Oddevold.

Turkey

Anthony Nwakaeme made his second debut for Trabzonpsor as the former Süper Lig champions were held to a goalless draw at Sivasspor.
