One of Europe’s most sought-after strikers, Victor Osimhen, is poised to turn down offers from English Premier League giants Chelsea and Arsenal in favour of a high-profile move to Paris Saint-Germain, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Nigerian international has been the subject of intense transfer speculation, with several top European clubs eager to secure his signature as he looks likely to exit the Diego Maradona Stadium this summer.
According to Sun Sports, the Super Eagles talisman has reportedly made up his mind to join the French champions, despite strong interest from England.
This decision would see Osimhen put his Premier League ambitions on hold, as he is set on linking up with PSG within the next two weeks.
Chelsea, who have been leading the race among Premier League clubs, have encountered difficulties in their pursuit of the Nigerian star.
The Stamford Bridge outfit is unable to meet Napoli’s €130 million release clause due to Financial Fair Play (FFP) constraints, leaving a swap deal or loan move as their only viable options. However, Osimhen is reportedly uninterested in a loan arrangement, preferring a permanent transfer.
PSG, on the other hand, are in pole position to meet the financial demands of both Napoli and Osimhen. The French giants are prepared to offer a transfer fee close to his release clause, along with a salary package similar to what he currently earns in Naples. Osimhen is expected to wait for the next two weeks as the deal edges closer to completion.
