Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has appeared on the radar of French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Parisians have been in the market all summer looking for a left-wing forward to replace Kylian Mbappe who departed for Real Madrid after seven years in the capital of France.
PSG were previously linked with Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams, who were seen as the perfect replacements for Mbappe.
However, the Georgian footballer and the Spain wonderkid, who played a key role in the country’s Euro 2024 triumph, are considered unsellable by their respective clubs.
PSG have therefore turned their attention to Atalanta winger Lookman, who has been a standout performer in Italy and the Europa League.
According to Viola News, PSG have made contact with Lookman’s representatives who have also made it clear to Atalanta that the Super Eagles star is willing to join the French champions.
Lookman caught the attention of all in Europe after he scored an excellent hat-trick in the final of the Europa League against Bayer Leverkusen, inspiring Atalanta to their first continental title.
The former Everton and RB Leipzig star was also one of Nigeria’s most outstanding players as the Super Eagles reached the final of the Africa Cup of Nations in February.
He was, however, far from his best as Atalanta lost their UEFA Super Cup clash against Real Madrid in midweek.
