French club Lille LOSC have officially secured the signing of Nigerian teenage sensation Adeshina Ayodele from Beyond Limits Academy, Soccernet.ng reports.
The announcement was confirmed by Beyond Limits Academy via their social media platforms, marking Ayodele’s first professional contract.
The exciting forward has inked a five-year deal that will keep him with Lille until the summer of 2029.
Former Ligue 1 champions Lille successfully beat off competition from Belgian side Anderlecht and an unnamed Dutch club to secure the services of the promising forward.
Ayodele now joins an elite group of Nigerian players who have donned Lille’s colours, including Victor Osimhen, Vincent Enyeama, and Osaze Odemwingie.
Ayodele played a pivotal role for Beyond Limits Academy during the 2023-24 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
His contributions were crucial in the club’s triumphant NNL play-offs campaign, where they earned promotion to the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL). In the Super 8 final against Nassarawa United, Ayodele’s performance was capped with a vital goal, helping his team secure the championship.
The 18-year-old’s talents have also shone on the international stage.
He was an integral part of the Beyond Limits team that made history by becoming the first African side to win the prestigious Viareggio Cup in Italy, where he netted five goals and provided an assist, showcasing his potential to the world.
