Following this, the five-time African Women's Footballer of the Year took to her social media page to celebrate the 27-year-old for his latest achievement.

Thompson arrived as the favourite to win the race but took silver in the 100-meter final with a time of 9.79 seconds, with Lyles winning the gold by being 0.005 seconds faster.
The former Barcelona forward and her Super Falcons teammates crashed out of the 2024 Summer Olympics tournament following a disappointing campaign.
With a 1-0 loss to both World champions Spain and South American side Brazil, and a disappointing 3-1 loss to Japan, Randy Waldrum's troops bid their goodbyes to the tournament.
