Alhassan Yusuf set for Major League Soccer: Medicals, fee, and deadline details

Super Eagles midfielder Alhassan Yusuf is on the brink of a significant move to Major League Soccer, as he prepares to join the New England Revolution, Soccernet.ng reports.

The transfer, which has generated considerable buzz, is now in its final stages, with medical examinations, transfer fee agreements, and the looming MLS transfer deadline all coming into play.

Soccernet.ng brings you the latest details on Yusuf’s potential switch to the American League from Royale Antwerp.

Yusuf’s medical examination

Soccernet.ng reached out to an MLS reporter who touched on Yusuf’s move to the Major League Soccer and according to him, a medical examination was conducted yesterday in Antwerp.

Meanwhile, there has not been any latest news on the result of this medical examination, but it is believed that all has gone well with the two teams regarding this move.

Transfer Fee For Yusuf

The final agreement between the New England Revolution and Royal Antwerp FC for the transfer of Super Eagles midfielder Alhassan Yusuf has been successfully reached.

The deal is set at $2,500,000, with an additional clause entitling Royal Antwerp to 10% of any future sale of the player.

With all the key details ironed out, an official announcement from the New England Revolution is expected in the coming days.

MLS Deadline Details

The summer transfer window for Major League Soccer is set to close on August 14th at 2:00 pm EST. This deadline is crucial, as any deals finalised after this time will be postponed until December, following the end of the current season.

However, there is an exception for free agents, who will have an extended period until September 7th to secure a move.

This timing adds an extra layer of urgency for the New England Revolution to complete Yusuf’s move before the window shuts in four days.
