Afro Football Forum to unite African football professionals in Berlin

The inaugural Afro Football Forum is set to gather African football professionals from across Europe in Berlin on August 15th, Soccernet.ng reports.

This groundbreaking event slated to hold at NIO House in Kurfürstendamm, will gather African football professionals working in various capacities across Europe, under the theme “Impact Beyond the Pitch.”

The Afro Football Forum aims to serve as a unique meeting point for Africans involved in football media, management, agency, and marketing, as well as parents of young footballers of African descent. The forum will highlight the significant contributions of Africans and other Black people in the football industry beyond just their on-pitch achievements.

“We want to showcase the impact of Africans and other Black professionals in the football industry and create opportunities through networking, learning from each other, and stimulating growth,” said Lolade Adewuyi, Soccernet.ng Managing Editor and the founder of the Afro Football Forum.

The event boasts an impressive lineup of speakers, including Dr. Ing. Fru Anwenwillie Ndenge of PBS in Cologne, Oma Akatugba of Oma Sports TV, Solange Tyrah Lee De Haas of FIFA in Zurich, Thierry Chipaushe of Forza Football in Gothenburg, Daniel Olasanmiju, founder of Motherland Berlin SC, Lassana Camara of AfricaFootUnited in Paris, Oluwabunmi Moses Egbebi of OE Sports in Salzburg, and Komborerai Wilfred Chikwape of the German Referees Association in Berlin, among others.

Kres Harrington, an award-winning African American journalist and TV host with Deutsche Welle, will host the forum.

The Afro Football Forum is expected to foster meaningful discussions and connections that will contribute to the growth and development of African talent and professionals within the football industry across Europe.
