Ademola Lookman’s Atalanta return: Does it end his PSG transfer hopes?

Ademola Lookman has piqued the interest of Paris Saint-Germain who are looking to add him to their squad

Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman has recently rejoined the Atalanta squad amidst speculation of a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Nigerian international has caught the attention of the French giants, who were impressed by his standout performances during Atalanta’s UEFA Europa League campaign.

However, the Super Eagles star’s return to Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad could indicate the end of his potential transfer to join the Ligue 1 side.

The Super Eagles attacker had requested to train separately following the transfer rumours linking him away from the Gewiss Stadium.

Despite missing Atalanta’s first two games, he has now rejoined the team and could be ready to face Inter Milan before heading off for international duty.

His recent call-up to the Nigerian national team to face Benin Republic and Rwanda in their upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers suggests an improvement in his fitness and readiness to return to football action.

However, it remains to be seen whether the former Everton forward will be fully prepared for the upcoming Serie A match-day 3 fixture against Inter.

With less than two days remaining in the transfer window, Lookman’s reinstatement raises doubts about whether his proposed move to join the Parisians will materialise.
