French club Paris Saint-Germain Feminines have shared a video of Super Eagles legend Jay-Jay Okocha welcoming Jennifer Echegini to the club, Soccernet.ng reports.

Echegini has enjoyed a steady rise in the last two years. She spent parts of her youth career at Nijmegen, Charlton, Milwall, Arsenal.

Then, at college, the Super Falcons star played for US-based teams Mississippi State Bulldogs and Florida State Seminoles.

The 23-year-old got her first big move in January this year, when she joined Italian side Juventus. Echegini made a big impact at the club providing ten goals and one assist in 14 appearances.

Her performances were key in the club’s second-place in the Serie A last season. She was also awarded the best under-23 player in the league.

Aside from the award, Echegini’s performances also caught the eye of teams abroad. And on Wednesday, she sealed a transfer to French giants PSG that will last for three years.

Following the completion of her deal, PSG shared a video of Okocha welcoming her to the club.

Okocha is one of the biggest names that has ever come out of African football. He spent four years at PSG between 1998 and 2002, and he made 84 appearances for the club before joining Bolton Wanderers. The 50-year-old played for the Super Eagles for 13 years before retiring in 2006.
