Super Eagles forward Peter Olayinka is poised to make a surprising return to Slavia Prague from Red Star Belgrade, just a year after leaving the Czech club, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Nigerian international initially joined Red Star Belgrade on a free transfer but is now linked with a move back to Prague, with the Serbian club set to receive a reported fee of €2 million.
Czech media reports reveal that Slavia Prague President Jaroslav Tvrdík has confirmed Olayinka’s imminent return to the club.
“A quarter of an hour ago, we reached an agreement on the terms of the transfer, and Crvena Zvezda accepted our offer. I am glad we were able to agree on the transfer price. We are not yet at the end to officially announce his arrival to Slavia. We still have to finalize the contractual terms. I believe we will complete it in a few days,” said Tvrdík.
The primary reason for Olayinka’s return is reportedly related to family considerations, with detailed information suggesting that his wife prefers living in Prague over Serbia.
While there has not been an official announcement from either club regarding the transfer, it is expected to be finalized in the coming days following medical examinations.
