Super Falcons-eligible prodigy joins Charlton Athletic on loan shortly after signing West Ham deal

Princess Ademiluyi, who is eligible to play for Nigeria, has joined Charlton Athletic on loan shortly after signing a professional contract with West Ham United, Soccernet.ng reports.

Ademiluyi, born in England, signed her professional contract with the Hammers upon turning 18, following an impressive run of performances in her 17 appearances for the club.

To gain valuable first-team experience, West Ham United announced through their official website that Ademiluyi would be making the switch to the Barclays Women’s Championship.

“Ademiluyi will make the temporary switch to the Addicks to gain further valuable first-team experience in the Barclays Women’s Championship – the second tier of women’s football in England. Everyone at West Ham United would like to wish Princess well during her loan spell in south London.” Part of West Ham United’s club statement reads.

Upon joining Charlton, The Super Falcons-eligible player expressed her excitement and praised the competitiveness of the Women’s Championship.

“I feel amazing; it’s the best birthday that I could have wished for. I am very excited to play in the Championship because it’s competitive and can help me find my form and grow into the player I want to be,” she said on Charlton Athletic’s club site.

The British-Nigerian forward is eligible to play for both England and Nigeria. She can represent Nigeria’s U-20 women’s national team as well as the senior women’s national team, making her a promising prospect for the future.
