Report: Arsenal, PSG get big boost in Osimhen pursuit as Napoli make significant concession

Napoli have been holding out for a mega fee, and that has slowed the transfer

Victor Osimhen’s suitors have gotten a significant boost in their hunt for his services, as Napoli are now willing to reduce their asking price for the striker, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen is currently one of the hottest properties in the market, with some of the top clubs in Europe brooding over a transfer because of his consistent performances for Napoli.

The 26-year-old hitman has registered 76 goals and 18 assists in 133 appearances for the Partenopeans. He was key in their Scudetto triumph two seasons ago, finding the net 26 times and winning the Capocannoniere. In fact, Osimhen was the first African player to win the Capocannoniere.

Clubs like Real Madrid, PSG, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Bayer Munich, and Al Hilal have all.been linked with the former Lille star. But Napoli have held out until this summer.

Currently, Arsenal, PSG and Al Hilal appear to be the most serious clubs interested in Osimhen’s services. Still, Napoli’s valuation has been the problem. They want €130 million before they let the Nigerian leave.

However, it appears the Partenopeans are willing to make a concession. According to CDS, Napoli, will reduce their valuation for Osimhen to €100 million.

This development could help facilitate Osimhen’s transfer, as clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea can spend that kind of money if they can sell enough players to meet up with the financial rules in the Premier League.

As it stands, Osimhen’s next destination remains unknown, but with the reduction of his price tag, his suitors would find it easier.
