It appears Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho has found a new home following his departure from Leicester City, Soccernet.ng reports.
Iheanacho left Leicester City at the end of the 2023/24 season following the expiration of his contract with the Foxes.
The 27-year-old forward had joined Leicester in August 2017 for almost €28 million from Manchester City.
After scoring 61 goals and adding 34 assists in 232 games for the Foxes, Iheanacho has decided that his time in England is over.
Ipswich Town, West Ham United, and Aston Villa have all been credited with interest in Iheanacho, who was believed to be keen on remaining in England.
However, according to transfer market guru Florian Plettenberg, Iheanacho is on the verge of moving to Spain to sign for Sevilla FC.
The Nigerian attacker, now a free agent, has reportedly agreed to join the seven-time UEFA Europa League champions.
Iheanacho is scheduled to arrive for medical examination either on Tuesday or on Wednesday after which the striker will commit to a long-term deal.
Iheanacho leaves a Super Eagles mate in Wilfred Ndidi at Leicester only to team up with another Nigeria international at Sevilla – Chidera Ejuke.
Ejuke also signed for Sevilla as a free agent this July after ending his four-year association with Russian club CSKA Moscow.
The former Heerenveen winger is settling well at Sevilla and was named man of the match as the club won the 13th edition of the Trofeo Antonio Puerta on Friday night.
