Napoli’s assistant coach, Cristian Stellini, has revealed Napoli are looking for a striker similar to Victor Osimhen, should the Nigerian head to Paris Saint-Germain, Soccernet.ng reports.
Osimhen has been linked with a move away from Napoli in recent months, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Al Ahli interested in the services of the 2023 CAF Player of the Year.
However, it appears French Champions, Paris Saint-Germain, have won the heart of the 25-year-old, as negotiations have advanced, gearing the former LOSC Lille man to a return to France.
Antonio Conte, Napoli’s new head coach, has been in touch with Belgian striker, Romelu Lukaku over a possible re-union in Naples. As per Voetbal Prime, the former Inter man can move to Napoli for a fee between the range of 25 and 30 million euros.
Conte’s assistant, Stellini, highlighted the 2023 Serie A Champions are prioritizing a striker who has similar features to Victor Osimhen.
“For the succession of Osimhen, I would choose an attacker with a strong physical construction, just like Victor. And someone who has multiple weapons, such as being able to score goals and making and supporting teammates better in the attack,” the Italian manager said in quotes revealed by Calcio Mercato.
