Four-capped Super Eagles striker set to reunite with Czech Republic giants

Super Eagles striker Peter Olayinka is close to sealing a return to former Czech champions Slavia Prague this summer, Soccernet.ng reports.

Olayinka joined Serbian club Red Star Belgrade last summer after five years with Czech Republic giants Slavia Prague. Before he left for Red Star Belgrade, the Super Eagles star had an illustrious time in Prague, winning the Czech league and the Czech Cup three times each.

Last season at Red Star Belgrade, Olayinka was quite decent, as he registered twelve goals and seven assists in 38 appearances. His returns were key in their double winning campaign.

However, despite his decent campaign with the club last season, it appears Olayinka is unhappy in Serbia.

According to OJB Sports, the 28-year-old striker is eyeing a return to Slavia Prague because of personal reasons. However, the kind of deal that both parties will agree on has not been revealed yet.

The Super Eagles star was a fan favourite during his time at Prague, and they would be happy to have him back.

Nonetheless, Olayinka is valued at €6 million according to Transfermarkt, and that is a lot of money for Slavia Prague. But, they could still fashion out a flexible payment plan or they could settle for a loan deal.

Okayinka has four caps for Nigeria. His last game for the Super Eagles was at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
