Transfer: Manchester United offer Danish striker plus cash in exchange for Victor Osimhen

Three-time UEFA Champions League winners, Manchester United are keen on signing Victor Osimhen from Napoli, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 2023 CAF player of the Year won the league with Napoli in the 2022/2023 season. He also won the leagues golden boot and was placed 8th in the Ballon d’Or rankings.

The 25-year-old striker has been linked with several clubs, with Chelsea and Arsenal at forefront of the race for the signature of the former LOSC Lille man while talks with PSG have cooled.

As per CalcioNapoli24 , Manchester United are very much in the race for Osimhen. The Red Devils have reportedly offered a player plus cash deal to Napoli as they look to reinstate the football culture at the club under Jim Ratcliffe.

Manchester United have offered cash plus Rasmus Hojlund in a deal for the Napoli striker, and it will be interesting to see if the Italian giants are willing to accept such an offer.

Hojlund joined Manchester United last season and had a decent debut campaign under Erik Ten Haag and would be quite surprising if they decided to sanction his departure.

Napoli have made their mind up about Osimhen’s departure, however the destination of the Super Eagles striker is still being discussed. While a swap deal is welcome by the Italians, their new coach, Antonio Conte is keen on bringing Romelu Lukaku to the club.

United have also held talks with Bologna striker, Joshua Orobosa Zirkzee, and the results have been positive. It is believed that Thiago Motta’s former club are willing to part ways with the Dutch forward if they get an offer around €45m.

Osimhen is keen to prove himself in the English Premier League and it will be interesting to see which club he ends up with.
