Nigeria international Jennifer Echegini is close to joining Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) just six months after moving to Juventus, Soccernet.ng reports.
Echegini, 23, joined Juventus in January after a successful stint at Florida State.
The midfielder has impressed at Juventus, scoring 10 goals and providing one assist in 16 appearances. Her standout moment was a hat-trick against Fiorentina in March.
French giants PSG have been monitoring Echegini and are ready to make an offer.
The Super Falcons midfielder is open to moving to France and has reportedly handed in a transfer request at Juventus, according to Tutto Juve.
The French champions aim to strengthen their squad with the young talent, who is seen as one of the brightest prospects in European football.
This move would be significant for PSG as they aim to dominate the French Ligue 1 and compete strongly in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. For Juventus, losing Echegini would be a major setback, as they had high hopes for her future with the team.
Echegini’s college career at Florida State saw her win several awards, including the Honda Sport Award for women’s soccer and the ACC Offensive Player of the Year.
